ABOUT
Alex is an 11-year-old artist who lives in Washington, DC.. She started to develop a distinctive style at a very early age with a strong sense to colors and shapes. Through her young yet and observant eyes, she captures moments of her childhood and expresses them in a raw, vibrant way.

Alex expresses her creativity with different media, mostly acrylic paints, pastels, and colored pencils. In late 2020, Alex created her first series, Clock Abstract, to describe the unsettled, chaotic blur of her feelings when isolated at home during the pandemic. Two years later, she began the Study of Light series, inspired by changes in natural light that occur during the transitions between seasons. “I put my feelings on the canvas or paper. Art is my language and is part of me.” She said in an interview with Stroll Magazine in early 2023.

Though Alex’s maturity in the art is beyond her age, she has much to learn and experience. The details of the world endlessly inspire her to create, and she is eager to communicate to others through her art.
